Personalised tea-towels are the perfect gift for friends and family this festive season.
Start with a plain tea-towel and plan out your design. Bold geometric patterns will achieve a striking result. Once you have mapped out how your design will work on the tea-towel, trace the pattern onto freezer paper. This can be found in the dressmaking section at Spotlight.
Cut out pattern and place on top of tea-towel on a flat surface. Iron the freezer paper onto the tea-towel. Use a paint brush to carefully apply fabric paint over your freezer paper cut-out. Set aside to dry. Once completely dry, peel off freezer paper revealing your pattern. Iron once more to seal the paint. |
