Inspired by the natural colours of autumn, we created a rustic dining setting for any occasion.

Working with an autumn theme we created a dining table setting bursting with ideas and homemade items. Limited only by your imagination you too can get crafting to create a cosy setting in which to entertain friends and family.
Small off-cuts of birch branches make the perfect base for natural candlesticks. Create variation by cutting the branches at different height levels. Once you have the desired heights, simply bore a shallow hole in the centre using a wood boring flat bit in which to place a tealight candle. Depending on space, try grouping your finished candles together or spread them along the centre of the table.
Individualised place settings are a nice touch and will add something different to the setting. In keeping with autumnal colours and flavours we used pears as the central feature for ours and simply tied a leaf shaped card to each one. We personalised the card using a single stamped letter.
Our final table setting project used a simple embroidery cross stitch and green felt to create napkin and cutlery holders which ties the natural colours of the table together.
