 WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• 1200 x 900mm MDF board
• Magnetic Paint
• Blackboard Paint
• Coloured paint
• Masking tape
• Measuring tape

Get creative with blackboard and magnetic paint to create a vibrant weekly planner designed to keep you organised this year.

Start with a piece of MDF board, we chose a piece that was 12mm thick so it was rigid. Paint with undercoat, then with two coats of Resene magnetic paint. Trace out your planner shape into the format that will work best for you and your family. Mask out and paint coloured boarders. Paint remaining area with Resene blackboard paint.

You could also try picking up an old painting from a secondhand store – ensure that it has a sturdy back. Paint directly over the picture with blackboard paint and on the frame with a fun colour. This is perfect for use in the kitchen as a ‘To Do’ list, or at your entranceway for people to leave messages on when you are out. Just don't forget to attach the chalk!
