Don’t be afraid to venture to the dark side in your living areas – a jewel-toned paint such as Resene Zinzan will have a restful effect. Offset the deep wall shade with in-built shelving in a soothing mid-grey, such as Resene Steam Roller. Choosing hues with similar undertones allows for contrast yet keeps the look cohesive.
