Winds of change

There ain’t no cure for the summertime blues, but the mid-winter ones are a different story, says Dulux colour specialist Davina Harper.

In association with Dulux.

What do you think – a new-look home for next season? If everything’s feeling a bit flat right now, getting excited about a fresh exterior colour scheme could be just what the doctor ordered.
Classic cool tones will never fall out of favour, but trend forecasts show some more welcoming colours are on the horizon. Two of Dulux’s most popular warm whites are the soft and elegant Dulux Cardrona and Dulux Cardrona Half. Pair with a dark grey like Dulux The Remarkables for a contemporary play on traditional black and white.
Painting your home is an investment, so you’ll want to choose shades that’ll look great for years to come, but there’s nothing to stop you having fun with your front door – it can easily be repainted if your tastes change. Here, a mid-century- modern-esque feature is made of the entry using mustard Dulux Masterton.
