A textural tile collection with a sense of longtime patina

These tactile urban options really va-va-voom a room.

In association with Artisan.

Some people consider tiles an interior element they’re happy to let recede; others know that going beyond the chic-but-standard white subways can make a major statement. The Oxidart range from Artisan attracted our attention with its textural finish that mimics the natural weathering of metal, freeze-framing it in durable porcelain form. By Italy’s Ceramica Sant’Agostino, it comes in three sizes and colours, and up to 270 unique patterns, developed in the brand’s research lab using clever techniques and digital technologies to replicate the effects of time, oxygen, flames and acid on sheet metal.

HIGH-TECH, HIGH STYLE Designed for walls and floors in any space inside and out, these tiles offer all the industrial appeal of metal in indestructible, stain-proof form. Pictured top is Patchwork Light, which combines the look of irregularly rusted and etched metal with a decorative grid pattern and highly rated slip and wear resistance. Above is Iron, featuring a ‘corrosion by oxidation’ effect and Oxidart’s velvety finish that feels mighty fine underfoot.
