Little mysteries

Indulging her fascination with the stuff she spots in second-hand stores, Hawke’s Bay painter/ photographer Billie Culy began imagining how items’ former owners may have lived with them. The resulting snapshots of people’s lives as we might glimpse them through a window or doorway will be exhibited as works that also examine traditional still-life painting, at Hastings gallery Parlour Projects from August 25 to September 22.
